I love the heavier French Terry fabric of the Sierra and enjoy wearing it during the fall, winter and spring. I find it to heavy in the hot, humid summer. (I don't have air conditioning). I often style it with a long sleeve Sloan either over or under it or with a linen blouse. I love the bright pink color. Because the arm holes will stretch out I recommend storing it folded over a hanger or folded on a shelf.
I wear this dress almost every day. The style goes with everything, and it's year round! It can stretch out a bit with wearing though, so size down!
The longer length is perfect for a taller person!
I bought this dress to use during the Swedish summer. It's perfect with a t-shirt on top or a cardigan or sweater. I have worn it with the Frankie bike shorts beneath or with the axis leggings if it has been colder. The terry fabric makes it sturdy. It keeps it's shape perfectly, and doesn't cling.
The ocean teal is muted teal, going towards the blue color scale rather than the green, which suits my winter pallet colors well.
The only negative thing (for me) is that the armholes are a tad to big for me, as I'm pretty narrow over the shoulders. I have planned to sew them up a bit but haven't come round to it yet. Which says in itself that it isn't a huge problem.
I do recommend this dress!
I love my new dress. It is so comfortable and can be dressed up or down to suit any occasion. I specially like the texture and weight of the material which makes it hang beautifully - no clinging or crumpling!
I ordered the Marionberry tank dress as I saw on the reviews the different ways you can wear this dress, long arm with a t-shirt under or over, with a belt, teamed with a jacket, leggins, boots, sandals, etc. So far it has been too warm here to actually wear it, but when trying it on it does all that was promised. Soft, flattering shape. In fact, I am already thinking of purchasing the Everett Hoodie Tunic as a Christmas present for myself. The length would be perfect for me and it would give me years and years of comfortable cosyness in style.
My newest Sierra is Charcoal Grey, which I love. I also have a Black and a Mauve.
At 5'2" I really enjoy the Regular Length. This newest Sierra is a Medium, a size smaller than I usually wear. The French Terry fabric is very comfortable most of the year, however I find it to warm during high humidity. I store it folded over the hanger. In my first Sierra the armholes stretched enough that my bra shows all the time, which is fine if I'm wearing it layered with something.
I initially bought a S (Canyon Red) but ended up selling it on after I got an XS (Oatmeal) and preferred the fit. Both are lovely colours, I struggled to let the Canyon Red go but I preferred the fit of the XS as the S had relaxed quite a bit by that time. Sierra is so soft and cosy, I could wear it all day every day!
Having done my 100 day challenge in a Rowena, I found the fabric quite thick. This makes the Sierra not quite as versatile as it’s predecessor as you can’t wear it as a top by tucking it in your pants. I found cycling in it didn’t do it any favors as it made the rear very saggy. I’m hoping it’ll get its shape back when I wash it. I’m still happy with it. I absolutely love the color.
Sierra feels a softer material in the oatmeal heather colour. It washes well. I found the neckline stretched easily after washing, more so than black colour one. Have to be careful with drying it flat and in shape. Oatmeal… It is a tricky colour to describe. I had it on with greens, pinks and blue tops. It changed its beige hews according to the other colours. Like the light tones as I have mostly dark dresses. Sierra’s comfortable in hot weather as well.
Right size, just like I thought. Some dresses are difficult to buy. This is not.
