I love everything about this dress! It’s so soft and warm, it’s like wearing your pj’s while looking super cute and put together. Vintage Blue is my new favorite color, it’s a perfect neutral as it’s a blue jeans kinda blue. I want everything in this color now. I’m also very delighted Margo will be available in long soon. The regular size is perfect for winter, as I will be wearing it with tights and leggings. But I like some knee coverage if I’m going without😍
This is my second Margo, bought because this simple style is easy to dress up or down, it is super comfortable, and gets me lots of compliments. I am size 12 (UK), and the dress comes to my knee. More brighter colours, please.
This is my first non-swing dress from wool&, which I was nervous about. I wear S in Camellia and XS in Sierra, so went for a S in Margo. It fits perfectly, hangs nicely and the fabric is lovely. Feels as thick as the Sierra, but smoother.
Aegean teal is beautiful! I tried it in Brooklyn but the style wasn’t right for me. It’s slightly lighter in colour in this interlock fabric than the signature jersey, but still a stunning colour.
Height: 5’5” or 165cm
Weight: 58kg
Measurements: 34/29/38in (or 86/74/97cm)
I have super sensitive skin and always thought that I can never wear anything wool. So I waited long and read all the reviews and discussions before daring to order. First wear felt a bit prickly so I decided to wash and use wool softener (Sonett) before first real use. No regret now, Margo is perfect fit and after the softener I was able to wear it from dawn to dust! The fit is perfect, too, and I love the thicker fabric.
P.S. Please please please make Margo in Forest Night or some other warm scale colour!
Margo is absolutely perfect. Even the pockets, which can ruin the drape of a dress if not situated correctly.
I am in between Large and Medium, so ordered Medium because I didn't want Margo to hang or be baggy. Fit like a glove and after a wash, a couple days wear, she relaxed to my shape.
Fantastic as little black dress, appropriate for a funeral without looking too gloomy, and easy to layer with something colourful for casual wear. Not as good for tying up or with a t-shirt ring like the lightweight dresses. It's a heavy weight that hugs and encases your body. So soft and comfy. Great for Scottish weather, but will probably fall out of rotation in the summer and might not even go on holiday in a hot weather destination. Not her fault though, and she's still perfect.
For me, the Margo is the perfect little black dress - it's timeless, classy, easy to dress up or down, well fitted and of a really good quality. The thicker fabric makes the Margo less flowing then the Rowena and other swing dresses, but that's fine since the cut itself is figure-hugging. I'm sure that it will be a keeper for years.
I also own swing dresses (Rowena and Willow), which I ordered in XL long to obtain a little extra length here and there. The fall very loosely, but I like it that way. The Margo, though, is a more fitted dress. The XL turned out to be far to roomy, the L fits great. Since I'm rather tall with long legs, it's quite short (ending way above my knees), but with opaque tights (and maybe a fancy duster on top) it's fine for me. Nevertheless, a long version would be very appreciated.
After trying many different Wool& dresses, I finally found one that's perfect for me. The fabric is thicker than Rowena, Brooklyn, Fiona, etc. but super soft and has stretch. It's a great base layer or dress in its own right. The pockets are very practical. I love it and am very grateful to the customer service team for their patience and advice.
I love this style. It's smart enough for work, especially with the moto jacket, and tough enough for family life and dogs. I've got 3. Perfect for those who don't find the swing style dresses flattering. Although I often pop my Sierra over it for extra warmth! The material of Margo is terry and very good quality.
I'm a big fan of Margo, and of the slimmer fit of the dress. I have several wool& dresses, and this is the first shift dress that actually looks good on me.
The vintage blue is a fabulous colour which suits my skin and hair colours extremely well. The fabric is lush and thick and keeps me warm during these winter days. It will be my absolute go-to for the winter months even with a series of Rowena's, a Willow and a couple of Maggie's sitting in the closet.
Just a couple of notes on the side: The bracelet length sleeves are not my favourites, I would much prefer full-length sleeves for comfort and warmth, and for not having the feeling that the sleeves are too short on me. And the pockets which are the love of so many hits me on my widest point and are absolutely not flattering on my body.
For both issues, though, there is a solution, so they don't take away my enthusiasm for this dress at all.
Therefore, keep them coming, wool& - I'd get myself another one if you pull out different colours (or restock the redwood) :-)
I tried two other wool& dresses tjat did not really convince me, but the Margo is just perfect for me. Very good quality, classic fit and look, warm, soft and comfortable. The pockets are great!
Can be worn for practically every occasion, casual, dressed, sporty...For me the dress could be just a little bit longer.
