With my length the dress is more of a tunica or a very long sweater and the arms are more like 7/8th or 3/4th. Which is perfect for me, I knew that when I ordered, since I wanted something to wear with leggings and thick tights in colder weather. And she is perfect for that. She hugs the hips and the belly slightly in my normal size but not enough to make me feel uncomfortable. And she is so soft and the slightly thicker material is so comfortable! I have the Aegaen Teal colour which is very blue, almost turquoise and splendid for me.
I love the thicker, soft and cozy fabric, and also the style, even though it is not the most flattering for my body. I am in between sizes, M (my usual size in Ro and Willow) was too tight, but L is a bit too loose in the back. But I love in anyways!
Gotta be honest, Margo wasnt love at first sight! I loved the thicker, soft and cozy fabric from the start, but the fit was a bit bunchy around the hips (the pockets hit at a weird spot I guess because my waist is so short) and it's not very flattering when you tend to bloat and have bad posture. I decided to give her a go though, persisting even after she fit even weirder after washing, which was a great idea because after maybe an hour of wear, the fabric gave a bit and now she's perfect (unless I slouch really bad). The sleeves are a good length, despite bracelet length being a "neither here nor there" length for me. The fabric may be more prone to pilling than Ro and the colour is not as bright and intense. It's five stars nevertheless and now I want a Margo in washed navy and forest night!
I love the Margo, it is sooo comfy and soft and cozy. I first tried the redwood and did not like my belly being so visible. Then I gave black a try and now I’m in love. I’m waiting for the more colors to be stocked, then I’ll order the striped and maybe Marionberry
I’m size small but ordered this in extra small as it was the only side left and I love the style. It fits - phew - although it’s fairly short so is a tunic rather than a dress. The material is lovely and soft and a good weight so it hangs well. I love the stripes. So glad I bought this dress.
I'm pleased with my purchase. The wool fabric is a good quality and the dress is cut well so it fits and looks nice. As I am tall I find it a little on the short side but it's fine with thick tights and leggingsfor every day and would still look ok on more formal occasions I think. I like being able to wear it over a Tshirt or with a cardigan so can vary the look. It is warm and doesn't seem to crease - both plus points for me.
Nice weight to this dress and I like the stripes. I think I’ll probably wear it with leggings as it shows a bit too much knee for my liking! Love the pockets as well. The only complaint is that the stitching does not follow the stripes on the dress so it looks a bit wonky at times when it crosses both the blue and the white stripes. I wear both XS (Brooklyn and Clara) and S (Rowena long) dresses and got the XS in this as it was the only size available. I was concerned it would be too tight across the shoulders but it fits fine. The only thing which would make it perfect is a bit more length.
I ordered this dress from the UK and I got it today just over 3 weeks later . The carrier didn't inform me about a delivery date. The parcel was left on the doorstep of an empty house that intermittently has builders in doing construction work A kind neighbour noticed it read the address label and brought it to me. That said I like the dress very much The fabric weight is nice and solid and it's fairly forgiving around my bulges
I'm 5 ft 2inches and it falls just above my knees.
The Margo is my reward dress. It fits true to size (I’m a size S in all Wool& dresses).
The dress is form fitting but relaxes after a few wears. It is a lovely weight and a great winter / mid-season dress and can be worn with a belt (I have a short torso and waist). The pockets are awesome!
Wish this dress (as some others) came in more colours. As I didn't want black I chose redwood, which isn't exactly my colour but seems to be versatile. If you are used to swing dresses (like me with 100days of willow) this straight line is a bit of a change. I like the thicker material and the sleeves. They are not totally long for me (altough I thought I had not that long arms). I had to size up compared to Willow. I wear M long in Willow in L in Margo. Would love to have a sort of sweater in this form - as I now wear Margo over my pants ;-)
