I rarely write reviews, but this dress just makes me so happy! Love the fabric, the fit, the length and overall feel of my Eliza ❤️ I went with my usual size (Medium) but opted for a regular length instead of my usual preference for long versions. Good decision! It's flattering, easy to wear yet also stylish enough for work. Couldn't love it more!
After some thoughts on sizing, I got M-long Eliza, M being the size I have in other dresses - Fiona, Camellia and two Sierras. My measurements are upper M on top, upper L on bottom, and at first the dress was quite snug, but it relaxed nicely, although the fit is more straight than swingy. I guess that L would be the recommended size for it to be a swing dress, but I took into consideration, that my long Sierra is bigger than regular one,and is a bit too swingy for my liking.
I do love the length (on my 166cm long hits a bit under knee), and heavier fabric, and Aegan teal is just soo beautiful colour. Sleeves for me are bit too long.
I absolutely love my Eliza! I purchased the same size that I had already in the Sierra. It fits a little closer to the body but is still swingy. The aegean teal color is divine. It is soft and warm, and when I wear it with leggings I feel like I am lounging around in pajamas while looking put together!
My one critique is that the material of the French terry sometimes feels a little scratchy on my arms, and I don't love the look of layering a T shirt underneath that resolves the sensory problem (this dress hugs a bit more than the other swing styles and so I can see a line from the hem of the shirt across the butt). But this is a small issue, and I hope the material will feel softer after a few washings.
Eliza small long in black fits snug and has a sleek look even though it’s a swing dress. This is my size in Sierra.
Medium regular in Aegean teal is the one by the size chart. It gives the swing dress feel without being too loose. Better fit around the shoulders and leaves enough room for under layers.
Good length for long arms.
Pockets are same as Sierra. Material has a nice fall, less clingy than Rowena.
Neckline high, just like a T-shirts’..
The thicker fabric is really nice. Also the sleeves are long enough! Yay! The fit is perfect for a lady with bigger hips/belly and a smaller chest.
I did my #100daydresschallenge in Sierra Washed Navy (S), and it's held up very well over the last 2-1/2 years so I was thrilled to see that Eliza was described as a "long-sleeve Sierra." While I didn't get the color I wanted (Aegean teal), I'm pleased with the Marionberry. Eliza is a great thickness, long enough arms, and will be very cozy for winter. I ordered a Medium due to recommendations and it's perfect (I wear small in Sierra, Cora, Camellia and Summer Midi, and Medium in Ro due to my wider shoulders). Based on my experience with Sierra, I know this dress will relax over time. I look forward to finding my first choice of Aegean Teal, and hoping for more stock in the EU store for coming releases.
