I was giggling when I first put them on because of how well they fit and how nice they feel. I orderd small and was a bit nervous about the fit because I usually wear medium in pants. They were a bit tight getting them on over my hips, but fit perfectly once they are on. I thought the price was a bit much, but now that I have them I fell that they are worth it. My waist is 75 cm and my hips are 99 cm.
Fits like my other Axis and I feel warm and comfy!

I wear leggings basically every day and absolutely hate when they roll down your belly. These are the first pair I’ve ever had that stay out no matter what I’m doing. Plus they are study and hard wearing. One pair lasts me about a year before they start to thin and fray on the thighs.
This is my second pair of full-length leggings (I also have two pairs of cropped Axis), because they are simply the best leggings I have ever worn. True to size, oh-so-comfortable, and warm when its cold, and cold when it's warm. I love my leggings for their versatility - they can be worn for workouts, but with a dress they are chic and smart. With my aspen hoodie they are great for lounging around on the sofa. I've worn a pair of Axis leggings pretty much every day for over a year, and I love them.
They are opaque, and the navy colour goes with all my Wool& dresses. They don't sag or run, and I can wear them several times without them needing a wash.
Best of all, they are comfy on my tender tummy. Even though I have a bit of a meno-belly, Axis leggings sit smoothly over bum and tum, stay up firmly, but never dig in or roll at the waistband. Truly a miracle legging!
This is a great pair of leggings. Opaque, breathable, temperature regulating. For winter I need another layer (usually under), but for extra warmth they also work great then. I run in these and love the fact that I can air them out between wears or give them a rinse in cold water and they can go multiple, multiple wears without sagging or getting smelly.
In other brands I am usually at least a size M for bottoms, more often a L; on the Axis size chart I am also rather an M, but I find S to be a good fit for these leggings. They are a bit long on me, but not too much, I can wear them happily. Compared to the cropped version, the full length was somehow a bit tighter in the waist - noticeable when pulling them over the hips, but perfect when worn.
I have never had better leggings for every day wear. They hold their shape, is opaque and so soft. A must buy!
This is my 4th Axis legging, because I like them better than any of the various other shops where I bought woollen leggings in Europe. The dark marionberry is slightly less smooth, but still feels sturdy and doesn't itch. I assume that, like the other Axis leggings, they will keep their form and won't start to sag. The colour is slightly darker than my Marionberry, but the colour change doesn't mean they won't work together and it is a nice neutral in many ways.
I did my 100 days in a Forest Night Ro and have become obsessed with the color. These are not quite an exact match, but very close and it could be that my 100 days in nearly three years ago so the dress is slightly faded. I did find the material a bit heaver that my navy blue axis and a bit itchy. Did return them as the day I ordered the US site added a long version and I thought I might give them a go when I get there in a couple of weeks. The fit was as expected for the small.
I have never had such a great fitting legging, I can highly recommend these and if you’re between sizes go for the smaller ones I would say.
They are lovely high waisted without digging in and they don’t slide down, they stay right in place - wow.
I am pleased with the leggings. High waisted and very comfortable. They are opaque and with my other wool& items.. they don't hold onto dog hair. They don't rid down, really can't fault them. Would buy again.
