I use it both as outerwear and innerwear (thermals). Keeps me warm all the time without making me feel baggy. The waist felt a bit tight on me, but eventually I got used to the feeling. Goes well with my wool& dresses.
I want to start by saying that I have not always been a huge fan of leggings in general. I wore them as a teenager, but never found any I liked as an adult... too short, too tight, too thin etc. These leggings are something else though. They are comfortable, warm, not at all itchy and long enough. I have already worn them several times for warmth and for layering and I've already considered buying a second pair. These leggings are great!
The colour of these leggings is fantastic and goes with nearly everything, in my opinion. My first pair was cut too narrowly and long outside the medium specs so I generously received a replacement pair. This is still a little longer and tighter than a previous navy pair of axis leggings I have, so measurements can vary a bit, but it fits fine and is super comfy. Would also suit somebody with longer legs than me (I ordered regular length) - but I can just fold the last bit at the ankle over. I am between an S and M and wear S in most Wool& dresses I have tried. I have Summit shorts in S that I like the tighter fit of but definitely would not want to go smaller than M in Axis leggings.
I held off for over a year, thinking the price tag high for a basic pair of leggings. However, they are a marvel and worth every penny. I take a M in most wool& garments, so went for M regular despite being on the cusp of L according to measurements. Glad I did - the fit is snug but extremely comfortable, with a high waist and a good leg length. I wear them with wool& dresses but also for running and hiking. I don’t think I can recommend them highly enough!
These are the best leggings I've ever come across. I now owns one each of black, dark marionberry, gray and marine. Which pretty much illustrate my liking of them.
They are comfortable, don't roll up, don't slip down. They are fully opaque, the don't get saggy and keep their shape. I only wash them by hand in cold water pretty rarely and it's not necessary to do more. They don't get smelly.
I recommend to wash them once before starting to use them as the dress tends to cling to them at first. This disappears after washing.
I saved up to buy a second pair of Axis leggings because they are more comfortable than any other leggings I own. Now I have black and navy. I also own woolx Stella leggings which I save for the coldest days, but don’t love how thick Stella waistband is. In most days Fall, Winter, and Spring my Wool& leggings are great and after a year of wearing constantly they show no signs of wear. I love how I don’t notice the waistband. I can even sleep in them. I normally buy dresses in small or xs, but choose leggings in medium (exactly where the size chart places me.) perfect fit!
I’ve been looking at these for ages but thinking they were a bit pricey but I took the plunge and I don’t regret it. They are the best leggings ever! They fit well and don’t sag even after several days wear, and I love that you don’t have to constantly be washing them.
I did not get what the big deal was with these leggings and was hesitant to spend so much money on a pair of leggings.
But they are the softest, most comfortable pair of leggings I ever had. It's high waisted and doesn't pull down. I can't feel the elastic around my waist even if I eat a whole pizza!
Such a wonderful legging! It is my 100days challenge reward and I love it. Gorgeous colour, absolute comfort.
It's really comfy, doesn't slide down, and has a proper high waist. I am 177, and these are long enough but not too long. I got XL, and it is generous even on my wide hips and thighs; L would fit more snugly, but I can't imagine it wouldn't fit at all. Depends on what you like.
