I wish I could have one in light blue
Hands down the best Wool& design! Audrey Hepburnesque! Versatile with both highish crew neck and v-neck. Belt to mark your waist or just hang loose. Great width in the skirt and good midi length in the skirt.
I chose Summer Midi because of its reversible neckline and light material, which both make it very versatile – I've been wearing it now for 20 days straight with no risk of running out of ideas for how to alter my outfits. I'm typically wearing sizes S (for upper body) and M (for pants/skirts), and here size M is perfect. The only minus is the midi length, which is making the dress a bit less practical, e.g. it's on the limit of possible to tuck it in, so I'm considering eventually shortening it.
I got the Summer midi garnet on warehouse clearance. I wanted to try the garnet red and I just love the color! I‘m a blonde summer type, but drawn to intense colors like burgundy, black and washed navy. The garnet is a cool dark red, brighter than burgundy and it complements my wardrobe well. Love the option to wear it both sides and the pockets are cleverly positioned. As it is still winter in Europe, I‘ve layered her under the sloan and under the Brooklyn. I sized down from my usual XL to L and it is still big enough. I have broad shoulders and am big busted. Usually L in pants and XL in shift style dresses.
Despite my measurements falling in the cathegory of S or M, i order an XS, based on the garment measurements and my knowledge of elasticity of woolen clothes. The size is perfect, not too small, nicely tight around bust, which I wanted. The dress is super versatile, you can even wear it the wrong side up and have a smoother line without pockets! Material is quite thin, but has a nice sheen to it. Very comfortable, does not catch odour at all. The only let down was the belt which has a seam right in the middle, so if you want to tie it in the back the seam sits right at the centre of your waist. This is a small problem since my dress is black, but with other colours this might be more of an issue as the seam will be more noticeable.
I wore the marine Summer Midi this past August for my 30-day challenge. It was a beach / pool cover on my days off. It was an elegant summer sundress for days at the office and it was a comfortable go-to for relaxed days in home office. The midi length was just right for this long-legged gal, although on me it doesn't fall 2 inches below the knee, so it isn't a true midi in my case, but the effort to be a midi allows for knee coverage. I like that although I lost some weight while doing the challenge that the arm holes remained sturdy and did not stretch significantly, which is an issue that I've had with my Sierra. The option to wear this dress in either direction and with or without the belt makes it the most versitile thus far! I was between measurements on this dress. My bust put my in M, while my hip measurement put me at size L. Due to the straighter cut, I went with L and I'm happy I did, although I wear M in Sierra.
Having read about this challenge I decided to give it a go with the black, summer midi dress.
It's a lovely dress. Thinner material than I had expected but it's everything it's described as. I've now worn it solidly for 9 days without washing it. It doesn't crease and looks smart every time I put it on.
I bought a medium, long but wish I'd bought the shorter length. It looks great with bare legs but a bit frumpy with tights or leggings but I've tucked it up with a belt on occasions.
It's extremely versatile and I love the fact that it's reversible with a V neck or round neck and POCKETS!
My normal size is an 1X, but I this was the first dress I bought and due to my weight and body shape I'm inclined to buy roomy. I used it for my 100 day challenge and slowly started to realize that it was too big for me, but I really loved the dress. The colour, the fact that you can wear it with a round neck but also with a v-neck, the big pockets, the material. So I actually ordered it again, two sizes smaller, and that looks perfect on me. (picture is of the bigger dress during my challenge)
Love it so much! I'm basically living in it all summer. I have the summer midi in marine and garnet and these have been my go-to all summer. They look very flattering and feel like a dream to wear.
The fabric is so silky soft and drapes well over curves. The Marine Blue was darker than I anticipated, but it is lovely and blends well with other blues. The reversible neckline is fantastic: the V-neck not too low and the crew neck not too high. I think this style provides the most options for layering and accessorising. The only negative were the pockets that hit me in an awkward place on the hips, so I had them removed when I slightly altered the dress to fit my short-waisted, broad-shouldered rectangle body.
