I was looking for a dress just like this before it was released as my basic winer dress in black, but ended up buying a Rowena as that was as close as I could get. I bought L as ai am pear shaped and swing dresses only sort or work if the fit is close on top.
I wanted proper long sleeves, a lower neck line and longer length.
Having already now bought a black winter dress , I went for it in Burgundy in Xxl as from looking it on the model and reading sizing comments I wanted it to drape over my curves and not cling.
It is fantastic and I was really sad I couldn't justify buying another black long sleeve dress.
However seeing the price reduction I quickly did buy the black and have hardly had a day without wearing it, wish I'd started a 100 day challenge, too late now with summer approaching.
I can't understand why it was not selling and therefore reduced, it is so lovely in both colours.
Love this dress. Currently doing the 100 day challenge and I'm 17 days in. The dress maintains its shape (doesn't stretch out of shape with wear or washing), does not smell (I've washed it twice, but both times it was just because I felt like I "should" wash it!) and is so versatile! Wearing it with belts, shirts, skirts, jumpers, blazers, scarves... I do not feel like I am wearing the same dress everyday. It's thin but warm and has a very flattering shape. Cannot recommend it enough!
I am currently on day 36 of the 100 day dress challenge in my burgundy Charlotte. I have been wearing it as a dress, under long tunics and capes, folded into my jeans as a top and doing much more! It's a versatile and chic dress that can be dressed up and dressed down. It fits like a dream.
I am so pleased with the dress and will surely buy it in another colour. (I am currently wearing it in black for the 100 days challenge but love the newly introduced ocean colour.)
I am usually between sizes s and m but the waist of the Charlotte seemed quite narrow for my body type (inverted triangle).
Size m fits me perfectly around the waist. It is a little loose around the chest, which is normal for me, since I have not much going on up there, if I may speak so frankly ;)
The dress falls very nicely, has a soft flow to it, while moving and is suitable for every day wear.
The fabric is extremely breathable and needs very little washing. Airing it out over night and it is good to go for a good week.
Very high quality. Plus: winter bonus -
I am surprised how warm it keeps me, even with temperatures under 0•Celsius.
This will not be my last wool& dress :)
