I hummed and hawed over getting this. However, I am glad that I did. It instantly makes any of the dresses I own look that bit smarter. It is incredibly comfortable. To the point, I actually asked a colleague if the jacket looked professional (it did, of course) because it felt so good. I like the thickness of it and it is warm. I like the different placement of the zipper, as it gives it a little extra look. The pockets are huge, so I can tuck my hands in should I need to. Overall, I am happy with the jacket and have worn it a few times now.
If it helps anyone, I am broad-shouldered (or I think I am) and have an hourglass figure. I am small-chested as well.
I wanted to love it, short cardigans/jackets like that are often nice for me and the material is really lovely. But for some reason it felt like there was too much fabric in the front, the extra bit of material behind the zipper kept getting in my way. So I sent her back and will now wait till the short cardigan is available in Europe. I'm between xxl and 1x and the size was fine and comfortable, I liked the look of it, but the front panels just bugged me.
Lou is a really wonderful jacket. Elegant when closed, edgy when open. Soft and stretchy and comfortable. You look like you’re wearing a blazer, but you feel like you’re wearing a sweatshirt.
Sleeves are a little too long for me, but I am short as you can see from my stats. I wish the pockets had zips too.
I always wanted a jacket like that! I had a leather one many years ago but never thought that it could be made out of wool. I just wear it all the time: with all my wool& dresses, as indoor layer, as outdoor layer and I plan on layering it under my wool winter coat for additional warmth. I don’t need summers anymore 😂 Oh and I ordered the same size most of my dresses are.
