our fiona dress comes with a few advantages.

I bought the dress after lots of thought and was quite worried about whether it would fit well or be itchy (I usually can’t wear wool) or just whether I would like it. The results are all good. Fit is good. It’s not itchy at all (and at the moment the weather is pretty warm) and I do like it.
I have been wearing it with different short cardigans which give a different look to the dress and have had some compliments! So I’m happy. I plan to continue wearing it for the 30 days if possible - 13 so far and only one wash - and buy another one for winter.
Finaly I found ny perfekt dress! It fits som nice to my bodyshape (pear). Color is beatuyful and the fabric is soft, jet keeps good shape. I love this dress! True to sice.
Very flattering dress for women with a waist. Comfortabele material. I like it that it is a little longer.
The fabric was a little thinner than I thought, which makes it less sturdy.
Otherwise, it has a very flattering fit, it's wool, and with the pockets it's really the only basic garment you'll ever need.
I bought this dress "for" the 100 day challenge, and I'm currently on day 6. I love the dress. It's length is perfect (just above the knee) and the waistline hits at my own waist.
I'd love there to be more colours, though, so fingers crossed.
I usually itch from all kinds of wool, but no itching here. Like others have said; it feels more like jersey than wool.
Love this dress. It is - even on me - long enough to get me properly dressed. The fabric is super soft.
Gotta confess, Fiona wasnt really on my radar for the longest time. I'm not the flirty dress type or the belted Rowena type. But then I saw a really cute photo... and then a gorgeous style.... and then saw how versatile she is.... and soon I was trawling the website for Fiona to arrive.
My first impression wasnt as favourable as I hoped though. The waistband sagged a bit at the sides, making for a strange silhouette. I've lost some weight and could have probably sized down to XS for a snugger waistband (there's still a bit of room) if not for my broad shoulders. I then played around a bit, trying different bras/bralettes for my mini sized boobs, and layering, and decided I loved it after all. The colour is a gorgeous blueish grey, and the length (long torso, short legs, regular sizes Ro are borderline too short) is perfect. And it will still fit when I gain that weight back.
For reference, my measurements at the moment are 81-70-93.
I'm rather sad that this dress isn't made in a proper blue - navy or royal blue. Based on the pictures I was hoping for at least a sort of dusty blue, but in reality the fabric is charcoal grey, which does not look good on me. Nevertheless, the dress is well-made and comfortable. I usually have problems with wool, but this is a smooth, thin jersey that was very comfortable. I did not find it particularly warm on a blustery late autumn day even with a cardigan over it - which at least gives some hope that the dress could be worn year-round with more or fewer layers over top. I did not find the bodice too long as a 5'9 (175cm) long-waisted person with a C bust, though it would be likely to swamp shorter women with smaller busts. The skirt was just knee-length, which is good as the other dresses (even the 'long' ones) are too short on me.
I bought the dress in my regular size in slate blue. It fits perfectly and is very comfortable and light.
The fabric is thin (and in every way like the Brooklyn) and the bottom part fits the same way, although the bodice of the Fiona is tighter. If you are generously endowed, sizing up might be a good idea. The length hits me at the knee, where it is where I wanted it.
Some have complained about the waist band, but after washing the dress I no longer feel it. The dress can easily be layered with the Brooklyn without being too warm (merino is truly the closest to an Elvish fabric as you can get!). Although the fabric is thin, I am never cold, so it is definitely a dress that can be worn during the colder months.
I'll start with the negative: This dress has a very long bodice. I don't have a particularly short torso and am fairly busty, too (37cm from shoulder seam to waist in the back, 46cm in the front), but I had a significant amount of bodice fabric hang down over the waist, which looked frightfully drab on me.
Thankfully I know my way around a sewing machine, so I took the dress apart in the middle, cut a strip (probably about 8-10cm in the back, maybe 4 in the front) off the bodice, then reassembled it.
That said, I love the material and the cut in general, the big pockets, the sleeve length, how versatile it is, and it's one of the most comfy dresses I've ever owned. I'm not even doing the 100 day challenge but just want to wear it all the time because it feels so great, and I'm planning on getting it in blue as well!
